IAgrE looking for new chief executive

The Institution of Agricultural Engineers (IAgrE) is advertising for a new chief executive.

The full-time, permanent position is based in Cranfield, Bedfordshire, with specific hours being negotiable for the right person.

Outlining the job, the specification says "This position involves being an outstanding ambassador and inspirational figurehead for IAgrE to a diverse range of audiences and the media. You will be capable of building successful internal and external relationships, partnerships and networks.

"Other strategic priorities will include improving awareness of the IAgrE within the industry and leading initiatives to increase membership. In this way healthy ongoing operation of the organisation will be assured.

"You will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership qualities, including the ability to work with a supportive and experienced Institution Secretariat to meet planned targets. You will have a passion for excellence and professionalism in everything you and the IAgrE undertake. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to lead organisational change through experience which may have been gained in the public, private or third sectors."
