Mandatory masks: Where is included in the guidance?
From Friday (July 24), it will be mandatory for shoppers in England to wear face coverings.
The UK Government took the decision in efforts to further mitigate the risk of coronavirus. Those who fail to comply, could face a fine of up to £100.
It is understood that the new mandatory rule for face coverings in shops does not apply to retail staff.
Since making this decision, the Government has released further information about the type of environments where face coverings will be mandatory.
Further to all types of shops including chemists, they also include:
- hardware/homeware stores
- car dealerships/showrooms
- auction houses
- antique stores
