Currently the Chairman of the Scottish Regional Group, been the Scottish representative on the BAGMA Council for some 15 years. Brian retired from the Reekie Group Ltd as their Group Service and Warranty Manager having looked after 6 branches throughout Scotland in the Agricultural Tractor and Machinery, Industrial Forklift, Telehandler, Ground Care, and Motor Vehicle Industries.
“I still see BAGMA as the strong industry body representing the dealers in our industry with a range of services and training all designed to assist our members in the daily running of their businesses. Over the years I’ve lectured in Agricultural Engineering in Further Education and worked alongside LANTRA Scotland, SRUC Colleges, RHET and was a STEM Ambassador engaging with schools, career advisors and employers in promoting the career paths in our industry.”
Group Turf Sales Manager – Masons Kings
Been in the business for over 10 years, currently working as Group Turf Sales Manager at Masons Kings. Elliots passion started when his parents bought a farm in early 2000s, it became a logical step for him to jump into an agricultural course at Aberystwyth University, then move into the family business for the long term.

Became a BAGMA council member to support the Agricultural & Groundscare dealer network, and to focus on the promotion of careers to the next generation of young people starting out in the industry.

Tuckwell’s are a 3rd generation family business that is focused on running a John Deere dealership in the southeast of England as well as a farming operation in Suffolk.
Agriculture was very much part of James’s upbringing – he was helping with the harvests on the family farm and driving combines long before driving his first car! James completed an Agri-Business Management degree in 2000 following that he became more heavily involved in the Tuckwell’s dealership.
“We re-joined BAGMA in 2023 because we were very keen on the training they offer. Having access to this in addition to our own in-house training has enabled us to equip our staff with a broader bank of skills and knowledge. It’s a privilege to be on the BAGMA council and to be able to support the team to give a little back to an industry that has given me so much.”

Peter Heming heads up the Heming Group of companies, a family-owned business that was established in 1968. The group provides services across multiple channels including Engineering, Plant Hire, Ford Electrical, Cooling and Heating, servicing a customer base within a 40-mile radius of their offices.
“BAGMA is a voice for our industry in front of the necessary government bodies and it’s a voice that is very much needed. We must benefit from the bigger voice of the Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA) who want to support BAGMA and see it be run as its own entity. BAGMA understands the importance of making sure we are heard.”

Been working within the industry since 1991 when he left school and took a summer job unpacking boxes in a parts department for a business called “Andrews of Sunningdale”, a Kubota and Ransomes dealership based in Berkshire. This lead to a full-time position as a parts advisor and enabled Phill to stay within the industry working across various dealerships representing big brands such as Kubota & John Deere. Phill has also seen the industry from a manufacturers perspective having worked for Ransomes in Ipswich before starting in his current position in 2012.
“I love being in the industry, the people, the trade shows and the product ranges make it an exciting place to be, which is probably why I’ve never left! I joined the BAGMA council in 2024, it’s a fantastic organisation that supports our dealerships, by being on the council I feel like I’m giving something back to the industry that’s been such a big part of my career.”
Machinery Director, Carr’s Billington
Responsible for the Machinery Division within Carr’s Billington which forms part of the trading company along with Fuels, Feed and Retail stores. Operating across a large part of the UK and have Machinery across 11 of the 30 branches in the estate. Carr’s have been Massey Ferguson and Krone dealers for over 30 years with a machinery heritage dating back to 1923 and also have a dedicated Groundcare and ATV business operating from separate sites in the East and West of our area.
“It is great to be able to lead the machinery division, and having come from an Aftersales background, I appreciate how important service and support is for everything we sell. I joined the BAGMA council 3 years ago as I wanted to help share in best practice and make sure we maintained a solid body that represents and lobbies for the industry.”

Wiltshires has been based in Dunsfold, Surrey since 1970 as a single depot dealer. Laura grew up very much around the business and joined to manage it in 1999. The company has been a BAGMA member since the 1980’s when it expanded from agricultural machinery repairs to machinery sales and parts distribution within both the agricultural and groundcare sectors.
‘The industry has seen significant change over the years, keeping up with change and being able to look forward are key to all businesses. Having an industry body helps with that challenge along with sharing of best practice to help us serve our customers well.
