Held on the 11th February at Westpoint Arena Exeter, and in its fourth year, The West Country Farming & Machinery Show has established a growing reputation as the premium one day farming event in the South West.

The Show is aimed at farmers and those involved in farming and farming related companies across the South West and beyond.

BAGMA’s Business Development Manager Richard Jenkins and BAGMA Trainer Chas Ayres spent the day catching up with numerous BAGMA members and Industry Partners exhibiting at the show.

The show, with free entry and free parking gave all attendees the opportunity to sample and keep up to date with all things farming and farm-related, new products and services and the latest farm machinery from national manufacturers and the region’s top dealers. There was also a live auction, who doesn’t like a bargain.

Considering the daily rain recently the show enjoyed a dry and bright day and by mid-morning the indoor and outdoor isles were busy and there was a great buzz around the Arena. BAGMA members reported interest from customers old and new. Exhibitors put a great deal of time and considerable cost into their stands so it’s good to be rewarded with interest from customers.

Exhibitor numbers were good with several new exhibitors this year, however some expressed the cost for this one day show wasn’t far short of other multiple day events. Overall a good well organised farming show which deserves to continue for many years.
