To mark a decade of Farm24, a unique collaboration has brought together cutting-edge agricultural technology and creative flair in the form of a giant #Farm24 logo planted into a field of maize in May 2025. The idea, led by Farmers Guardian Machinery Editor Toby Whatley, was brought to life by maze design experts Mazescape, showcasing just how far innovation in the industry has come.

Using precision mapping software, Mazescape created the detailed design before it was uploaded into the farm’s John Deere 6R195 tractor operating with RTK GPS guidance which controlled a Väderstad Tempo F8 precision seeder, which planted the intricate pattern with 2.5cm accuracy. The project was made possible thanks to local farmer Rob Beaumont, who offered up some of his crop as the canvas.

Tom Hockaday, Founder of Mazescape, commented:

“I wanted to show people what we can do and how far the industry has come in terms of technology. Farm24 is a great opportunity to highlight that and support British farmers.”

Jack Major from Väderstad added:

“We were more than happy to be involved. Farm24 is a fantastic initiative that brings the farming community together and shows the public what modern agriculture is capable of.”

Despite the scale of the artwork, only 0.2 hectares of the field were affected thanks to the precision of the equipment. Farmer Rob Beaumont added:

“It’s turned out even better than we imagined. Farm24 is something we’re proud to support, and this was a great way to demonstrate the technology we work with every day.”

Created by Farmers Guardian, #Farm24 continues to grow in reach and influence. Last year, the campaign received over 77 million social media impressions, trended at #1, and gained widespread coverage across BBC platforms, including shout-outs on Radio 1. Public figures like Jamie Oliver, Adam Henson, and even the Prime Minister have previously joined in, helping to amplify the campaign’s impact.
